To everyone celebrating their birthday today, China Admissions would like to wish you a Happy Birthday 生日快樂 (shēngrì kuàilè)! ?
Birthdays are probably the most celebrated days across the world. It’s a day to give thanks, spend time with family and friends and eat good food.
Like the rest of the world, birthdays are highly celebrated in China. In fact, the Chinese people follow universal traditions such as singing the birthday song and eating cake. But what’s unique in China is that they have many symbolisms and superstitions during birthdays.
For instance, it’s a must for Chinese people to eat noodles during their birthday. The long noodles symbolize longevity in Chinese tradition.
