1) The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK SZ)

Some universities still charge an application fee, but a very low one.

1) The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)

HKUST LogoThe Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is a public research university in Clear Water Bay, Hong Kong. Founded in 1991 by the British Hong Kong Government, it was the territory’s third institution to be granted university status.

HKUST is commonly regarded as one of the fastest-growing universities in the world. In 2021, HKUST was placed 27th among 1000 universities and secured the 2nd position in the global top 50 Universities Under 50 by QS. Additionally, it holds the 60th rank in the QS World University Rankings for 2024.

2) Jiangsu University

Jiangsu University (JSU) is ranked among the top 100 universities out of over 2,000 higher educational institutions in China. JSU enjoys a national reputation of being among the top research-based academic institutions for engineering sciences with several innovative achievements and patents rights for its achievement and contribution to the economic growth of China and the world economy. 3) Shandong University (SDU)

4) Harbin Institute of Technology

It is the first American college to receive independent registration status from China’s Ministry of Education. While classes are in English, some proficiency in Chinese is required for graduation.
