Upgrading Admissions at the Speed of AI: Our 2026 Roadmap

The world of international education is undergoing enormous change, and we are seeing the following undeniable trends in 2026.

1. Students Are Increasingly Destination Agnostic

The days of a student only looking at one country are over. Today’s students are opportunity-shoppers. They are comparing a medical degree in Shanghai with one in Dubai or London simultaneously.

Our data shows that 61% of students applying to study in China are also applying to other countries. By focusing on a single region, we were only solving half of your problem. To satisfy your needs, we have to think as globally as you do.

61% is based on a survey of 200 students we did on 5th April 2026.

The most popular countries students are applying to are

  • United States: 8%
  • Canada: 6%
  • Malaysia: 6%
  • United Kingdom: 6%
  • Germany: 5%
  • Japan: 5%
  • South Korea: 4%
  • Turkey: 4%
  • Australia: 3%
  • Others include a long tail of other destinations.

2. The World Has Changed

The study abroad and admissions process is highly inefficient with multiple steps and requirements.
Most agencies are doing “manual admin” filling out forms and chasing documents that can be done if there was a simple system directly and easily.
We’ve realized that despite having a useful platform, we aren’t fully solving a problem – we’re just absorbing and covering it.

In the new AI economy there is a huge opportunity cost, and it becomes increasingly important what to work on. That’s why it’s essential to work on the most high leverage work.

What that means

We’ve realised that in order to grow and better satisfy the market, it’s necessary to reduce what we do before we can increase something. We are therefore updating our platform in  a number of ways to focus on where we are adding the most value:

The “AI Agent”: We’ve integrated AI tools directly into our platform so students get faster support and universities can manage their own profiles, programs and applications directly.

University Support: We are providing universities with a login platform to manage their own programs and applications and grow reach online and reach students directly. We are focusing more on university marketing, content creation, and ai automation.

What this means for students? 

  • We will continue with listings on China Admissions, you can explore programs, and then get redirected to Chinese universities to apply to universities directly.
  • We will put you in contact with the universities directly and you can expect fast (immediate) support with our AI agents.
  • You can explore more options on Global Admissions platform.

What this means for universities? 

  • We now have a larger reach and more options. You can login to our platform, join online events and attract more students.
  • We will send you reports and more results.

We will roll this out gradually and continue to satisfy all students and universities.
