About Faculty of Physics

As one of the first five faculties set up by SUSTC in 2011, Faculty of Physics has attracted a batch of outstanding talents. Among its current 24 full-time teachers there are 1 CAS member, 1 state-level prestigious professor, 7 awardees of Thousand Young Talents Program organized by Chinese Central Government and 18 winners of the Introduction Plan of Overseas Top Talents by Shenzhen Government (Peacock Plan(including 6 young talents)). Their research interests range from new energy physics to new function materials and the related condensed matter physics, with the specific content including thermoelectric materials, multiferroic materials,  ecofriendly materials, new semiconductor, advanced functional films, optoelectronics, low energy spintronic devices, superconducting materials and topomatter.

Our laboratories are also equipped with the state-of-art facilities, including molecular beam epitaxy machines, surface reaction and analyzer, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), focused Ion beam (FIB) device and temperature change measurement device of cryogen-free superconducting magnet, all of which are worth more than RMB 100 million, providing strong support for our academic researches.

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees are RMB30000 per year. The total for the 4 year program is 120,000 RMB.
