Introduction to the Program

Our Chinese language summer programmes last between 4 and 8 weeks, and combine core language skills alongside the opportunity to experience Chinese culture and to learn more about the world of work in China. An integral part of the programme is the range of activities and excursions to places of major historical and cultural interest.

About the Program

Our all-inclusive programmes combine Chinese language tuition with a schedule of excursions and cultural experiences. You will join a truly international group of INTO students where you can practice your new language skills in small group activities with Chinese university students. A unique feature of the course is the opportunity to learn about the world of work in China through a series of master classes delivered by top employers in China.

What will I study?

The Chinese language summer programme allows you to experience Chinese life through a range of social and cultural activities in addition to more than 50 hours of the following core modules:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking
  • Listening

As well as your core modules you will also have the opportunity to participate in a number of activities, which could include:

  • Cultural studies – exploring aspects of local, regional or national life through visits to places of interest and cultural activities
  • Writing workshops – focusing on functional writing skills and practising calligraphy
  • Chinese paper cutting – learn how to master the art of crafting paper into pieces of art
  • Cooking classes – our student mentors will help you learn how to cook traditional Chinese food

Entry Requirements

No Academic Entry requirements, but students should be 18 years or older.

Application Deadline

Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible, at least one month prior to start date.

Tuition Fees

Twin Room: RMB20903 per 4 weeks. Costs include meals and excursions.

Accommodation

During your studies you will live in the overseas student dormitories.
