About the Guest Speaker

Dr. Michelle Xue Zheng
Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior

China Europe International Business School (CEIBS)

Dr. Zheng Xue is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at CEIBS. Prior to joining CEIBS, she worked at the Erasmus Centre of Behavioral Ethics, Rotterdam School of Management as a post-doctoral researcher.

Dr. Zheng holds a PhD in Organizational Behavior and specializes in the areas of Leadership, Conflict Management, and Negotiations and Decision-making. She is currently researching how emotion and power influence leaders’ ethical behaviors. Moreover, she is doing research on how power and status shape the effectiveness of apologies and forgiveness in workplace conflict resolution. Dr. Zheng is an active member of the Academy of Management, the Society of Personality and Social Psychology, and the International Association of Conflict Management. She has received the Society of Personality and Social Psychology Graduate Travel Award. Her work has been published in a number of scholarly journals such as Leadership QuarterlyHuman Relations, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Business Ethics, and Social Psychology and Personality Science and has been covered by media outlets such as Forbes, Huffington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, The Boston Globe, and others.

Dr. Zheng has supervised MA/MBA and Ph.D. students and has taught undergraduate and graduate classes in Singapore and the Netherlands. Her teaching interests include Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Business Ethics, and Negotiations and Decision-making. She was awarded Poets & Quants prestigious “Best 40 under 40 Business Professors” in 2021.
