Meet the Universities at the Chinese University Open Day
University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC)
The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was the first Sino-foreign university to open its doors in China. Established in 2004, with the full approval of the Chinese Ministry of Education, we are run by The University of Nottingham with cooperation from Zhejiang Wanli Education Group, a key player in the education sector in China.
We offer degree programmes from The University of Nottingham, taught in English, which are subject to the same quality assurance processes as in the UK.
The University of Nottingham is in the top one percent of more than 7,500 higher education institutions worldwide and league tables consistently rank the University highly.
Fanhai International School of Finance, Fudan University (FISF FDU)
Fudan University was founded in 1905 and located in the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai. Fudan is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary research university with many highly-ranked majors and programs, and is a member of the C9 League, Universitas 21 and Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU).
Fudan University is widely known for its campus culture of freedom, rich variety, and forward progress. Its campus culture is expressed in many dimensions, such as its outstanding school spirit, its rich academic flavor, its ideology of free discussion, the many independent choices available, its open and accepting attitude, as well as many elements of content, such as its more than 2000 lectures and forums per year, several tens of athletic competitions, more than a hundred artistic performances and cultural exhibits, over 310 student clubs, almost 500 social events, extracurricular academic creations by almost a thousand students, over ten thousand instances of volunteerism, etc.
United International College
Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC), located in the Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, southern China, was co-founded by Beijing Normal University and Hong Kong Baptist University as the first full-scale cooperation in higher education between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.
Aiming to serve China and the world, UIC has built a new model for liberal arts education in China by tapping into traditional Chinese and Western cultural resources. A liberal arts education cultivates open-minded, well-rounded talents, enabling students to dig into their academic field of expertise with an interdisciplinary approach. Shandong University
Located in the economic powerhouse and cultural heartland of China, Shandong University (SDU) is one of China’s top universities and is well-reputed for world-acclaimed researchers, dedicated teaching staff, and superior campus facilities and services. The welcoming international community at SDU, its long and storied history which dates back to 1901, and its great location for exploring the rest of China make it the perfect place to live while you learn. The university is highly ranked in China as a Double First Class university.
Shandong University is one of a few universities in China with several campuses spread around three different cities in Shandong Province. SDU has a total of eight beautiful campuses that allow students to experience the diverse cities and natural beauty of Shandong Province. Weihai Campus borders the Yellow Sea, allowing students to stroll by the sea and study in the fresh ocean air. The Central Campus is in the heart of Jinan City, bordering shops, restaurants, and scenic parks.
Beijing Film Academy
BFA (Beijing Film Academy) is the only film academy in China and the largest film academy in Asia. Through 70 years’ development, it has built up a multidisciplinary and multilevel cultivation system that embraces the entire spectrum of film-making, including production, teaching, creation, and research for training advanced film talents. The famous Chinese directors such as Zhang Yimou, Chen Kaige, Tian Zhuangzhuang, Jia Zhangke, and Gu Changwei all graduated from BFA– the cradle of Chinese film producers.

Northwestern Polytechnical University
The Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) is a national key university found in the historic city of Xi’an – the cradle of Chinese civilization. It is the only multidisciplinary and research-oriented university in China that also focuses on developing research-based education programs in various fields such as aeronautics and marine engineering.
NPU is one of the best universities in the People’s Republic of China (PRC). The university has a historical legacy unlike no other. In 1960, NPU was legally approved as a key state university under the State Council. The university ranked in the top 15 of China’s 7th and 8th five-year plans. It is also one of the few universities to pioneer a graduate school.
Beijing Chinese Language and Culture College
Founded in 1950, Beijing Chinese Language and Culture College (BLCC) is directly under the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and the only college that specialized in the education of Chinese language and culture in China. It encompasses two campuses: the Fuchengmen campus is situated in downtown Beijing and the Huilongguan campus in the Changping district of the city. With state-of-the-art facilities, complete functions, a beautiful environment, and convenient access to transport means, the school can accommodate about 2,000 students. In the past 70 years, it has built up a worldwide reputation with excellent teaching and considerate services
BLCC offers various optional courses including intensive vocabulary, business Chinese, declamation of Chinese, selected Chinese classics, TV Chinese, contemporary China, Chinese painting, Chinese calligraphy, seal cutting, flute playing, martial arts, dancing, basketball, football and badminton etc.
