We are seeing an increase in international students applying to study medicine in China.
There have always been large numbers of international students who are interested in studying Medicine in China.
China has a large number of universities which have impressive, modern facilities and many programs in English. The quality is good, and the price is also quite affordable relative to other countries, with programs from just $3,000 – $4,000 USD per year.
Why is there an increase?
We don’t know if this is because there is an increased demand for students generally to study medicine. People can see that medicine is more important, and the shortage of doctors and nurses who have been treated as heroes worldwide.
Or whether they believe China has a much larger likelihood of opening medical programs in September than other countries.
It could also be that they impressed by the speed with which China has overcome the coronavirus.
While the new coronavirus cases in China is almost 0 and universities are starting again. With some such as Jiangsu University expected to resume classes next week.
