Frequently Asked Questions

Does Renmin Business School offer scholarships for undergraduate students?

Yes. Renmin Business School provides multiple scholarship opportunities for Global BBA students. New student scholarships include full-year and half-year tuition waivers for selected freshmen. Merit-based scholarships are available from Year 2 onward based on your academic performance. The Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS) supports excellent international students studying in Beijing. Over 85% of international students at RMBS receive some form of financial aid.

Do students need to take the CSCA?

Yes. Unlike previous years, applicants for the 2026 intake are now required to take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) and submit the score report. Check the CSCA guide here. The mandatory assessment subject is Mathematics, which is conducted in English.

Is there an age limit for the Global BBA program?

RMBS evaluates all applicants on individual merit. However, according to the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education of China, applicants under the age of 18 (born on or after September 1, 2008) whose parents do not reside in China must submit a notarized document of a guardian in China.

How long does it take to receive an admission offer?

The online application deadline is May 31, 2026. RUC conducts a qualification review between January and June. After passing the preliminary review, the Renmin Business School reviews applications on a rolling basis and will issue interview notices for approved documents. Following the interview (typically via Tencent meeting or Zoom), the Admission Committee makes a final decision. Official enrollment results are published between April and July 2026. Decision outcomes may be “application admitted”, “decision deferred”, or “application denied”.

Where do I live as a student?

The university provides on-campus housing options. The housing office will provide a Room Reservation Form to enrolled students, which includes details on living conditions and the booking procedure. If you choose to live off-campus, Chinese law requires you to obtain a Temporary Accommodation Registration at the nearest police station within 24 hours of your arrival.
