About the Program
The School of International Studies at Peking University is inviting application for a two-year Master Program in International Relations (MIR). Students will receive intensive and rigorous training in various fields ranging from general politics, foreign affairs, to social development of contemporary China. Students are encouraged to study Mandarin in this program, but all MIR courses and theses are conducted in English. Students will be granted a master’s degree in International Relations by Peking University once all requirements are fulfilled.
Entry Requirements
- Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from an institution of recognized standing.
- Applicants from non-English speaking background or who did not receive their bachelor’s degree from an English speaking university are required to provide valid English test certificates – IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 107(ibt).
- Applicants should be no more than 40 years old by the time of application.

Tuition Fees
The tuition fees are RMB75000 per year. The total for the 2 year program is 150,000 RMB. Â
Accommodation
The dormitories for international students at the main campus are located at Shao Yuan (ĺ‹ş ĺ›). There are limited spaces on campus for international students so students can stay in private accommodation outside of the University. Many students stay in private apartments in the Wudaokou area.
