When I first thought going to China to take the Summer Course at CUPL I was wondering how I could manage myself in a country which native language I know nothing about (and it is quite diferent from Portuguese and/or English).
And I kept thinking about it up to the exactly moment I got to Beijing International Airport, where a kind Chinese Student was waiting for me with my name written on paper.
It was CUPL starting its welcome greeting, which ended 2 weeks later, when I got back to Brazil. In fact, CUPL took care of everything for us, foreign students: hotel, huge banquets, transfer, tourist attractions, etc, and made easy what could have been tough.
As for the classes, I can describe in one word: wonderful. All the Professors were great, and they knew exactly they were talking to students outside China, so they could lead the lessons into a multidisciplinary track: culture and law.
For sure I recommend the Summer Program at CUPL, whatever is your goal (cultural, legal system, getting to know Chinese way of life, etc.). I’ve had a great time in Beijing and I thank CUPL and its staff to be so respectful to us.
