During the event, Dr. Emily David, Assistant Professor of Management will give an exclusive lecture and Ms. Amber Li, Senior Career Development Center (CDC) Consultant will host a career development workshop.

In addition, a panel of MBA alumni from Shanghai will be on campus to share their inspiring stories since graduating from CEIBS. More details about the CEIBS MBA Experience Day below!

About Dr. Emily David

Dr. Emily Michelle David is an Assistant Professor of Management at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Prior to joining CEIBS, she was an Associate Professor of Management in the College of Business at Zayed University in Dubai, UAE, where she served as the Discipline Leader for the HR and Management faculty.

Dr. David is an active member of the Academy of Management, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Southern Management Association. She has also worked as an in-house researcher at both NASA (Wyle Laboratories) and the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, in addition to consulting for a myriad of organisations, including the City of Houston, Kuraray, Saudi ARAMCO, and Exxon Mobil.

Career Development Workshop

Amber Li joined the MBA Career Development Center in 2014 and focuses on supporting MBA students on career development in the PE/VC, investment banking and commercial banking sectors. Prior to joining CDC, Amber worked at Morgan Stanley, UBS, Citibank and PwC.

The Subtleties of Power Lecture

Power. Though omnipresent and often elusive, it is something that captivates the imagination of nearly all future business leaders. In this lecture, we will explore the various nuances and sources of power so as to understand all the ways we can influence those around us. Using a video case study, participants will discover strategies to harness the power available to them by reading the environment to identify which tactic will be most effective.
