About the Speakers
Mengru SHEN(Summer SHEN):
Summer graduated from NHH and holds a master degree in International Business. She has more than 10-year asset management working experience, focusing on real estate market. As mentor of several universities in China and overseas, Summer is actively helping overseas students and entrepreneurs to get acknowledge of Chinese market and launched THE INNOVATIVE EXPEDITION (T.I.Ex) global challenging platform as co-founder.T.I.Ex aims to provide social opportunities to youth and promote cross-cultural communication through innovative events, and let global students better understand Chinese culture, business environment and career development by engaging in real case studies from companies in different industries. As a sharing platform, T.I.Ex positively promote development of sustainability for building a green, safety and healthy future.
Verena Lupprian is leading the Engineering department for a German Automotive supplier and striving her passion in private entrepreneurship. Graduating from Cambridge University, Verena came to Shanghai as an intern in 2008 and since then was continuously pushing her career up the ladder, building up engineering teams across the country, leading M&A projects and being the go-to-person for the Management Board in the company’s German headquarter.On the side, she got certified as a professional Business Coach in 2015 and Yoga Teacher in 2017. She recently published the second version of her book about healthy nutrition, puts passion in her Yoga YouTube channel as well as efficiency blog and support young and experienced managers through coaching on efficient work-life balance.
