The Tsinghua-INSEAD EMBA programme recently concluded its first-ever Shenzhen module at Tsinghua University Shenzhen International Graduate School from October 22nd to 28th. The module featured three courses taught by distinguished professors: “Winning in Emerging Markets” by Prof. Xiaowei Luo, “Humanity and Business” by Prof. Tang Xiaoyang and Dr. Vasilis Trigkas, and “Sustainability and Innovation in Business” by Prof. Qian Xiaojun.
The TIEMBA Retro Party-Back to HK 1990s took place at the Hony Capital Shenzhen office in the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone, commemorating the 26th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to China. Additionally, the students visited CVA Chips and engaged in a panel discussion on sustainability and innovation.
Reflecting on the module, a student shared, “The course enabled us to learn how to view the world and business from a novel perspective. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that I truly approach my day-to-day work in this manner.
Furthermore, there were two days dedicated to examining the global political landscape from both a Chinese and a Western viewpoint. During this time, we all collaborated to analyze the international situation.”
One student also expressed their experience in Shenzhen, “This time in ‘China’s Silicon Valley’ Shenzhen, I learned about Chinese companies on the forefront of the world’s digital economy, a ‘cashless’ society with its streets bustling with locally made electric vehicles.”
