We are China Admissions, an investor backed online platform for international students to apply to Chinese Universities. We partner with 200 top Chinese universities, and have over 180,000 registered students.
We are growing fast and looking for excellent, operations associate to join our team as we scale up.
As an operations associate, you are working in the operations department. After students have applied you will be the first point of contact. You will primarily be involved in managing customer service, and communicating between students and universities to ensure they successfully enroll.
In the first 6 months you will have the following objectives.
1> Execute and Get Stuff Done So Enrolments are Running Smoothly and Improving
As this is an operations role, the most important objective is to get all the important stuff done. There are various tasks such as email replies, following up and communicating between students and universities, and solving various problems that may come. You will need to be able to prioritise according to deadlines and what is most important and manage your time to and get stuff done fast and work with our team so our operations are running smoothly
2> Provide world class service to students as measured by NPS (over 80)
Can you imagine how awesome customer service can be? The application process to universities sucks. You’ll be on the front line in our quest to fix this. It is important that you can put your mind in the shoes of the student and reply to students by email and providing an awesome experience for them by giving them all the information they need. They will rate the experience, and we are looking to constantly improve that experience.
3> Continually upgrade and Improve
It is important to do things today that will save time and improve things for tomorrow. We can’t just stand still. We are a tech platform, and we are always looking to improve. There are many things we can be doing faster and more efficiently. Learning and growing is one of our company’s core values. We appreciate your input in what can be improved. Where are we wasting time? How can we improve the speed and service quality, and growth. You will be sharing feedback with our team to suggest improvements to the processes.
You’ll be doing the most important role of processing students applications to universities, following up with students and universities, and giving feedback to our team on how our platform can be improved.
Your success will be measured by:
– Number of enrolments
– Speed of processing
– How students rate our experience
– How the operations are improving
We are looking for someone with the ability to communicate to a high level in English for international students and good attention to detail. The most important part of this role is to be customer focused and excellent standards of service. An international and open mindset is important. Chinese language, knowledge of tech, entrepreneurial interest or experience is an advantage but not necessary.
We value mindset and attitude over specific skills. We highly value the ability to learn, being open minded, caring about others with a service mindset and a full stack, get stuff done attitude.
Studying abroad is also a big advantage, but not a requirement. Communication skills, a service mindset, organisation and high attention to detail are all important for the role.
We expect you’ll have a track record of going above and beyond, and high standards of excellence.
Our company communicates in English language and universities in both English and Chinese so both languages will be essential.
