- Aged 18–35, non-Chinese citizen in good health
- High school diploma (or proof of graduation)
- English-taught programs: IELTS ≥ 5.5 / TOEFL iBT ≥ 80 or pass ZUST’s English test
- Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 (≥180 points; some majors require ≥195)
Master’s Applicants
- Aged 18–45, non-Chinese citizen
- Bachelor’s degree or pre-graduation certificate
- English-taught: IELTS ≥ 6.0 / TOEFL iBT ≥ 85 or pass ZUST’s English test
- Chinese-taught: HSK Level 5 (≥180 points)
