What Can International Students Study at RMBS?
Global BBA is 4 years and International MBA is 2 years.
Eligibility
Global BBA Applicants
- Foreign nationality with a valid passport
- Outstanding in academic performance and extracurricular activities
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and strong-willed
- Open-minded, proactive, and friendly
- Proficient in English
- Healthy both physically and mentally

International MBA Applicants
- Two or more years of relevant work experience (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- A competitive GMAT/GRE score (GMAT Code: KHB-NM-91, GRE DL:3735 Renmin University China School Business), currently a minimum score of GMAT 550/GRE 285 is recommended
- Non-English native speakers must submit one of the following:
- A) Certificate of bachelor’s degree taught in English
- B) IELTS score above 6.0
- C) TOEFL score above 90

Application Documents and Deadlines for RMBS
For Global BBA
Application Timeline:
The final application deadline is May 31, 2025. You need begin the process during the last academic year of secondary education before University. The admissions team will contact you for the interview which you will expect within 2 weeks after the application.
Admission package will be sent by courier in June/July, with which admitted students can apply for a student visa (visa category: X1). The program will start in September (normally in the first week of the month).
Application Documents
- Copies of the Main Page and Visa Page(s) of Passport
- Your passport must be a regular one with the validity later than September 30, 2025. The visa pages refer only to the ones of Chinese visa.
- Original Academic Records. Transcripts are a record of your academic accomplishments, including every course you took, when you took each course, and the grades you received.
- Recommendation Letter(s)
- Personal Statement
- Proof of Financial Support
- Original Statement of Guarantee (download the template here)
- Physical Examination Form (download the template here)
- Reference of the Citizen’s Criminal Record
- Signed and Dated Application Form. After finishing online application, you’ll get an application form. Please print, sign and date it.
- SAT, ACT, IB, AP, UK A-level, Cambridge International A-level, or other standardized tests’ score report (if applicable). In addition to the ACT, SAT, AP, UK A-level, Cambridge International A-level, and IB exams, we also accept national examinations from over a hundred countries.
- School profile, including an overview of your high school (e.g., background, curricular offerings, and grading system).
- English Proficiency Test Results. TOEFL or IELTS score report which are within two years’ validity.
- You do not need to include the language test scores if:
- English is your native language
- Or you already (at the time of application submission) at least 3 years at a school/university where the language of instruction was English.
- You do not need to include the language test scores if:
- A non-refundable application fee of 800 RMB (110 USD)
- Other Supportive Documents (if available)
- Graduation Certificate(s)
- Copies of published academic papers, certificates, awards, or records of extracurricular achievements.
Notes: All documents which are not in English must be accompanied by an official certified English translation.

For International MBA
Application Timeline:
The application deadline is May 31, 2025. Applications are reviewed in two rounds throughout the year. All submitted applications and supporting documents will be assessed shortly after the deadline of each round.
Successful candidates will be notified and invited to the interview stage of the admissions process. The IMBA Admissions Office will arrange either an in-person or virtual interview. Admission decisions will be made following the interviews, based on the timeline for each round.
On average, applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application and interview within two weeks after the interview.

- A copy of the Passport’s Main Page (a valid ordinary passport)
- Completed IMBA Application Form
- Official GMAT/GRE score (check GMAT/GRE waive circumstances here)
- English Proficiency Proof (for non-English native speakers)
- A copy of Bachelor’s or Higher Degree Certificates (original or notarized)
- Official Transcripts (original or notarized, GPA shall be above 3.0/4.0)
- Two Recommendation Letters (preferably one from an academic referee and the other from a work-related referee)
- Resume (preferably summarized to one-page)
- One Recent (electronic) 2-inch photo (with white background)
- A Guarantee of Financial Status such as a certificate of employment, bank deposit certificate, or other documents that could provide evidence that the applicant has sufficient means for the duration of the study, if applicable
- Certificate of No Criminal Record (original or notarized copy)
- A Completed Foreigner Physical Health Examination Report
- Published Papers or other supporting materials (if applicable)
- Completed Scholarship Application (if applicable)
- A non-refundable application fee of 800 RMB (110 USD)
RMBS Application Process
For Global BBA
- Choose your program and check the admission requirements.
- Collect all required documents.
- Fill in application form online.
- Upload scanned copies of the supporting documents.
- Pay application fee (800 RMB / 110 USD) online

Send Hard Copies by Post. Applicants are also required to submit one set of the supporting documents, in hard copy, to the Program Office no later than two weeks from the online application date.
- Material assessment
- Interview (via Skype or phone) within 2 weeks after application.
- Final Decision. Decision outcomes may be “application admitted”, “decision deferred”, or “application denied”.
For International MBA

Accommodation
Renmin University of China offers on-campus accommodation for international students. After admission, the university will send you an admission package, which includes a Room Reservation Form. You must complete this form and send it to [email protected] by the specified deadline.
