About the Program
This program is to make full use of local culture resources and thoughtfully present local cultural industry. Bei-gu Hill is at the one point of the triangle distribution with Jin Hill and Jiao Hill, famous for its indestructible defensive buildings. It’s one of the national key scenic spots with reputation of the first hill in Jing-kou (ancient name of Zhenjiang) and the firs landscape under heaven. The ancient Hony-dew (Gan-lu)Temple is well-known for story of “the marriage of Emperor Bei LIU”,around which many anecdotes revolved the collaboration between Wu Kingdom and Shu Kingdom. Many famous poets left lots of ancient poems on every generation’s lips here in Zhenjiang, among whom there are Wan WANG, Bai LI, Dong-po SU, You LU, Qi-di XIN, etc. Standing on top of cliff of Bei-gu Hill, viewing the Yangzte River far into the distance, the feeling of “powerful and magnificent battlefield” comes up into the mind.”Where can I find my beloved country? All that attract patriots is here on Bei-gu Hill”—- Qi-di XIN in Northern Song dynasty. “Bei-gu Hil beyond Dan—yang is the indestructible fort of Wu Kingdom, which outlines the landscape between cloud and water (Yangzte River)”—-Bai LI Tang dynasty.
