About the Speakers

Nick H. Laursen
Managing Partner, Laursen Van Swieten

Mr. Laursen is a Danish national and has been working and living in China for 9+ years. Mr. Laursen’s professional experience encompasses cross-border investment, expansion management, fund management, and finance. He has broad finance industry experience namely in insurance, boutique investment, bulge bracket investment banking, Chinese multi-family office, and private equity.

Before founding LvS Partners, Mr. Laursen was a partner at Mandarin Hill Capital as well as IJK Capital. During his tenure at both Mandarin Hill Capital and IJK Capital, Mr. Laursen led the China expansion for multiple portfolio companies in industry 4.0, solar, healthcare IoT, and media and entertainment. Mr. Laursen also sits on various China Advisory Boards for expansion and growth companies.

Mr. Laursen holds an MSc in Applied Economics & Finance from Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and Shanghai Advanced Institute for Finance (SAIF).

Matthias Keschka
Associate Director, Fosun Capital

Mr. Matthias Keschka is a German national and has been working and living in China for 10+ years. Mr. Keschka joined Fosun in 2016 and is working as an associate director at Fosun Capital. Mr. Keschka has been working on numerous international investment projects for Fosun such as an acquisition of the German new material company Koller, an investment into the biggest Indian e-commerce logistics player Delhivery and the acquisition of the German leading production system solution provider FFT. As the assistant to the CIO of the Fosun Group he had large exposure to the Chinese and International investment community. Before Fosun he worked at the fifth largest German company in their economic research department and M&A team in Germany and Hong Kong, and was a successful social entrepreneur raising money, operating a business in India and being selected to meet the former president of the USA in New York. He received his Bachelor’s degree in economics at Mannheim University and his Master’s degree in Finance at Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance.
