Introduction to the Chinese Language Program
The Chinese Language Program is a full time intensive Chinese program. The classes are in the mornings, leaving the afternoons free to explore the city, or to take extra classes, or activities. There are about 30-40 foreign students at the academy each year. There are also optional afternoon drama classes that foreign students can take free of charge.
About CCNU Central China Normal University
CCNU, Central China Normal University, also known as Huazhong Normal University, is a leading University located in Wuhan in Central China. There are a large number of programs available in English with almost 3000 international students, the campus is large with adequate accommodation for international students, and the cost of living in Wuhan is cheaper than Universities in Beijing or Shanghai.
Application Requirements:
The program is open to all students who wish to learn the Chinese language, experience living in China, understand the Chinese culture, and earn a head start and competitive advantage in the future China-dominated world.Â
Start Date
Students can apply or enroll at any time. The semester starts in September or February each year.
Application Deadline:
For spring semester: by the end of February each year
For fall semester: by the end of August each year.
Curriculum:
The size of class varies according to the students’ proficiency level. Students may be periodically moved the best available class for their rate of progress.Â
Small and engaging classes (typically 20 students) provide an interactive and intimate learning environment. Real-life situations are created to facilitate and improve students’ learning. Diverse classroom activities, electives, seminars, and social events with a focus on different aspects of Chinese culture provide an enjoyable and effective learning experience.  Featured Chinese Corner every Tuesday night has become part of students’ thrilling and rewarding life experience in CCNUÂ
Tuition Fees:
One semester is 7500 RMB, and 1 year is 15,000 RMB.
