We are China Admissions, an investor backed online platform for international students to apply to Chinese Universities. We partner with 150 top Chinese universities, and have over 150,000 registered students.
We are growing fast and looking for a great writer / content manager to join our team. You will be leading our international marketing, content strategy and working closely with top Chinese universities and international students to carry out international marketing campaigns.
In the first 3 months you will have the following objectives.
1> Writing great content to for our university partners to meet their marketing KPIs
We are working with a number of Chinese universities to create engaging content for them that is going to drive great results and promote their university. You will be working with them to ensure that our KPIs are hit, and that the universities are satisfied with our work. This means understanding their programs and advantages, understanding students perspectives, and interviewing students and teachers, and writing great articles for each university, and following up to hit the KPIs which may be either traffic, leads, or event registrations. You will be managing the university relationship.
2> Double our organic traffic in 6 months
You will be responsible for reviewing all our content by going through the website in themes according to different topics and merging content that is duplicate, improving content that is doing well by adding to it, and creating new articles that we are missing that is in high demand by students. You will also give feedback to our tech team about website design and structural changes that can improve the user experience.
2> Writing supportive content for our recruitment team to boost sales
Content provides the backbone to our sales strategy. You will be responsible to work with our recruitment team to write engaging content that is going to support their objectives and boost the conversion rate of sales. Our recruitment team is planning out a theme each week, and we are looking for a strong article that we can use to promote on social media, and send to students by email. It should be fun, engaging, and encourage them to take action. We are also looking for great content that is going to
The core skill for this role is to be able to write beautiful, succinctly and engaging content.
You will work closely with Chinese universities, international students, our recruitment team. You will also be working with our admissions team for the latest information and tech team to drive improvements to the user experience.
We need someone with a native level of English. international mindset is a must. It’s a huge advantage if you have studied in China yourself before. Being tech savvy, entrepreneurial interest or experience is an advantage.
We expect you’ll have a strong track record of writing quality content before. Have strong initiative, great people skills, and be able to write and create engaging content, and have a bunch of ideas about interesting and engaging topics.
We highly value the ability to learn, being open minded, caring about others, and service, and a get stuff done fast attitude.
It is important that you have high standards, good attention to detail and can help to push each other and the team to improve and be better.
As we are a startup it is important you can think in a “Full Stack” way, and are able to think about the work from multiple angles and can have a wide range of skills (or be looking to learn connected skills) such as digital marketing, landing pages, design, the sales process, relationship management, interview, community building, and video etc.,
