It is that time already: Chinese New Year time!
This year it is on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 and begins the year of the Rooster.
The standard public holiday for Chinese is the 7 days from Chinese New Year’s Eve to day 6 of the lunar calendar new year (January 27 – February 2, 2017). During this time almost everything (shops, cafes etc.) will also be closed. That includes Universities as well.
Although the dates change every year, the traditions for celebration don’t. To refresh your memory on how to celebrate Chinese New Year check out the picture below:
This period of time is great for spending time with family. And while you are at it and scaring away the evil spirits with fireworks and exchanging red envelopes (Hong Boa’s), don’t forget to make your New Year resolution!
And if one of them is to start your studies in China, we are here to help you 🙂 While the Universities are closed, we are working during the New year holidays and are here to help you! We provide free and objective advice to thousands of international students about studying in China.
Our service is free as we are funded by Chinese Universities.
