In China, the golden days of summer are slowly coming to an end. As campuses open their doors to Fall 2022 students, they are also opening online application portals to 2023 Intake students!

The 2023 Intake has arrived in China. 

Here is everything you need to know to begin your study in China journey in Spring or Fall 2023!

But first… The Chinese border is currently mostly closed to international students. Check more information here.

2023 Intake Start and End Dates

Applications to study in China in 2023 will follow this general timeline:

  • Applications to start studying in February/March 2023 are due in November-January
  • Applications to start studying September 2023 are due either in September-December or from March-July.

Some programs, such as Tsinghua University programs, may be due as early as September.

When should you start applying for 2023 Intake at Chinese universities?

Applying early is the #1 way you can increase your chances of admission to a Chinese university. If you want a scholarship or are applying to a competitive program like an MBA or MBBS, you should absolutely apply as early as possible. 

Students who apply early get priority selection for university scholarships, picked first for programs with limited spots, and earlier admissions notifications.
